It is no longer winter, so I went about putting the blowers and blades out of the way on pallets.
I took the opportunity to install the Pat's adapters to the Kubota B2601 as the extra length is needed when the MacKissic chipper/ shredder is fitted, matching length to the other two tractors.
The installation didn't take long, having done it previously on the B7200, along with the battery powered nut runner wonder tool! ;-)
Of course, nothing is easy. The lift pins on the blower were set to the inside, and fouled the pat's units on the arch frame. Those blower lift pins are now outboard, but boy where they a bugger to remove and replace. Never-Seeze to the rescue!
The longer top link swivel ball was too wide to fit between the tractor pin bracket. Some abrasive machining required!
The Pat's supplied accessory spacing bar is just about useless as an aid with the factory "pin adjust" sway bars on the B2601. Those things are handy! But they don't look like they will stand up to any big load. I guess I need to adjust my expectations ;-)
Fortunately, It was a sunny spring day with temps above freezing. I actually took my work coat off for about an hour!

Looking to clean up the front landscape, I set a pallet out back to take what remains of the three tons of wood pellets I use to keep the chill off the basement.
6 bucket loads at 300# per load. Bags on...Bags off! My back is barking! I can't wait until tomorrow when the real yipping kicks in.

I raked up the cleared spaces and it looks pretty good for early spring. Put a wagon load of debris over the bank.
There is still that stickered pile of cedar boards that needs sorting and moving to a better location.

I'm almost ready to call for another log load of stove wood. Tomorrow, pellets go on sale. $6.60 a bag delivered. I'm in for three tons.

Wish I had more flat lands.

Love my Pat's QH, makes it so simple switching between all of my implements. My hydraulic top link makes it even easier...

Aw man, this thread takes me back to freshman college--All reading and no pictures.

Pat's is the best system I think overall for compact tractors indeed. Them framed QH are junk, I messed with it for over a year with bushing and crap. Took it to the scrap yard and got Pat's.

Adapted pin sway bars help space Pat’s for easy hook up on the B26. Yes the extended length helps PTO hook up and important especially if equipment is shared with other tractors. Like geared level box vs the turnbuckle.

Wait till you try the Euro hooks. :)

I am not seeing any differences in how the euro function differently than the Pat's?

I know, Pat's is kinda of a copy of the Euro hooks for smaller tractors. I see they are more common on 100Hp+ AG tractor here in the US.

The Euro retain the ball joints which, for some reason, Pats takes it out of the equation. The 3 pt linkage relies on those ball joints to allow the arms to move in any direction without binding.

This is also the reason why you see people saying they had to replace bots because it keeps bending or breaking them.

The Euro is welded directly to the arms, so it doesn't extend any further that it needs to be nor it's flopping in the wind unless all those bolts are still in somewhat good condition.

The Pats, again, removed the ball joint, so when you have wider or narrower implements, means the Pats will most likely be angled in relation to the lower pins of the implement and won't slide in the slot of the Pats.

There are plenty more differences that I'm forgetting about right now. I'm sure @MtnViewRanch will know more that I'm overlooking.

Oh and then, there is the price. I can get Cat 1 hooks for about $55 each and a set of cat 1 balls for maybe $10. A better system and cheaper? A no brainer to me. Mine came standard with the tractor though. These things will pretty much outlast the tractor.

Kind of hard to describe but I double nutted my Pats so I can leave them loose and they still swivel some. I’ve had mine for several years and like them.

One thing nice about JD and Pats is JD’s turnbuckles push the arms out, which I think is opposite of Kubota so no need for the spacer bar.
