by purchase records I really meant background checks...granted they only reflect OTC sales..but you can bet that the feds have their databases shielded and most likely have analog micro hard copies...
It's unlikely they would go after personal civilian arms anyway as long as they are not being slung around in public...What they very well could do and would do if national security was part of the equation...is use specialized scanning technology to locate and pinpoint masses of munitions and under ML they don't need any warrants...
I think you may be giving the feds too much credit.
That said, even if they had information stored somewhere protected, they would still need to relay that information and then get physically there. That's going to take a lot of logistics.
I believe it's understood that under ML that warrants are not need and are rights are non existant. It also means that the military is in charge of the police, courts and legislature.
