Engaging MFWD in 5065e

The best method I have found is to stop tractor and then let out clutch just a little. I kinda pull forward just a little to kinda rock the tractor. I do the same thing to disengage.

I just bought a 2014 JD 5075E with cab. I have no problems getting the system to engage. But, I have to stand on the lever (to the left of the seat) to get the thing to disengage. Should I try pushing the clutch in and out slightly to get the system to disengage?

Our mechanic from John Deere said they are easy to break inside if you are not careful. He said not to force them. He said they have had several people break them where it goes into the case.

Let the windup pressure come off to disengage... just keeping some light pressure on the lever and let the throttle off should do it, or some other tricks. But something might break if forcing it, like standing on it. Play with it a bit, and you will come up with what works for you.

if you have a loader lift front end it will engage or disengage

I typically stop, begin moving 4WD engagement lever to engage while easing forward.

To disengage I usually stop with wheels facing straight forward and slow starting moving in reverse while applying pressure to disengage.

Both process work very smoothly each time.

Do not apply pressure like that! Do what others have suggested in this thread. It should slide in and out easily.
