KUBOTA 7500 HSD
Hi guys, I'm interested in installing a block heater on my b7500. Can i buy one at the dealer and install it myself? Any pictures of what the kubota block heater looks like installed? Any opinions on the dipstick , or magnetic heaters? Opinions or experiences will be appreciated. thanks...

I had one installed on my BX2200 ,It goes in the side of the block into the water jacket,a freeze plug has to be removed and it threads in,mine leaked where they didn't use teflon on the threads and they had to come get it.

seems to work really well!

Yes you can buy one at the dealer and install it yourself. If I remember correctly you need a 17mm allen wrench to remove the threaded plug in the side of the block. The hardest part was removing the plug since they seal it in place with a thread locker.

The removal was the very reason I had them install it when I purchased mine.

I use the block kind but had it installed when I bought it. $50 and worth every penny. Been a pretty cold winter so far and I've been plowing about every other day. I use a timer to plug it into because I know when I'm going to plow so I only have it on for 2 hours before I'm going to use the tractor.

yes u can install it your self, but u would be advised to take a small berzomatic torch and heat the plug that u want to remove, as they use a thread sealer, and the heat will soften it. now i'm not talking cherry red now, just some heat.

There has been alot of discussion on this subject here, with many different opionons. I installed a magnetic heater on the oil pan of my 7500. I got it at TSC for around $21. It's worked well so far and can be removed anytime. Check it out.

The block heater that Kubota offers is an excellent unit and works fine. I have little respect for the other styles other than as a field expedient.
