Engine Block Heater

I fired my CK30hst up last night around 6 above. I have been using Rotella synthetic 5w-40. She turns over pretty easy. I just run the glow plugs preheat twice and no problem. You can't go wrong with a block heater but I'd rather use the heater hose version instead of knocking out a freeze plug. The above oil and start works for me so far.

That synthetic oil sounds like a good suggestion. Next change, I think a switch is in order.
