Engine Idling "hydraulic lift works" increase engine speed "lift stops working"
"Hay"... make it when the sun shines!
I have a weird one. My 253 turbo charged massey was having a little lift problem... it would not lift at all. I drained the water and hydraulic fluid out of the case, washed the case out good with clean diesel fuel, changed the filter and refilled the case to the mark with new hydraulic fluid designed for this system. It has worked fine the few times I have used since last summer. Yesterday I wanted to do some edging with the box blade and everything worked great for about 30 minutes. Then it started lowering the lift by itself every time I increased engine RPM's. Then to get it to lift again I had to shut the engine off. After restart it would lift slowly but as soon as I increased the Revs it would lower again. It is doing this with the lift control in the up position without me touching the lift control. This is the three-point hitch I'm referring to.
Has anyone seen this type of issue on any tractor?
I sure could use some direction tracking down this problem. Thanks, Ken
