Ron, I certainly agree . . . with exceptions. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Occasionally, you will find misprints in Owner's Manuals, whether you're talking about tractors, cars, pickups, or other products. And occasionally, you'll find that the manuals were not updated in a timely fashion. When in doubt, it's usually safe to ask a reputable dealer.
Example: My Kubota manual recommended 10W-30 oil with a CC or CD rating. OK, 10W-30 is all right if you can find it; 15W-40 is much more common, at least in the south. But I doubt you can find CC or CD rated oil; those are obsolete ratings. So I used CH-4, and there may be even more recent ratings now, but I'm not sure.
