Thanks, Ken! Your solution is the direction I was headed, but I was still a little worried that no oil from that hole meant there could be some other lubrication issue I might later regret not fixing. Hearing that you've been working it pretty good for a while since the fix eases my mind about that. I was also getting a little hung up on what kind of tee, line, orifice, etc to use... then you mentioned hydraulic supply store. Great idea! I already got new gears, bearing, case from Kioti, just need to get the parts to fix this defect. Do you happen to know what size orifice you used? And/or what size hole you drilled in the gear case? I was thinking 1/8npt but not sure it needs to be that big...

Josh,
I believe it was a 1/8 NPT that I drilled and tapped in the gear case. When I return from vacation on 8/11 I will take pics of where I installed on the gear case and tie into the oil pressure switch as well as get you parts list, I think I still have my receipts this will tell me the orifice size I installed. The oil pressure gauge I bought at Auto parts store this I teed off the nylon line. I was thinking last night that the bearings where pressed on, but I used socket wrench sockets and a lead hammer to help facilitate this since I did not have a press....I was also worried the way my engine seized when hyd gear pump seized that it would have done some damage to it but so far so good....A good industrial hydraulic supply store counterperson was the one that helped me pick the orifice size when I explained my situation and what I was trying to re-engineer. I also brought the oil pressure switch with me because somehow my memory tells me it was not an NPT thread but some British thread, if you have the part with you he can get you the right Female/Male threads on the tee you need to install with the run part of tee being NPT...again my mind is foggy on this since I cannot access my parts list but I remember this to different then NPT. I actually had this happen twice the gears seizing that is, the first time I tried to clear out the hole you speak of, but I still could not see where any pressurized oil came from to feed the hyd gear pump bearings, I even started the tractor and with gear pump off to see what kind of oil flow was going to bearings...well there was not even a steady trickle only some splashes or drops but I reluctantly rebuilt it only to have it seize within hours. My tractor was on a slight down hill grade with front end pointing down so I was afraid if made this inadequate oiling even worse...so that is when I found Kubota had a kit to fix issue on their similar series tractor but Kioti had none so I made my own based on input from others on this forum....has worked well since. Ken
