hi im new to the forum, I purchased a new engine through an agent in china for my jinma 284 fitted the new engine and I have operated this engine including run in for only seven hours and the oil pressure has started to fluctuate dramatically with start up at 500kpa when warmed up dropping to 400kpa then running at working speed 300kpa at this point I checked oil gallery for restrictions and pressure relief valve seemed free not sticking ,also bought a separate oil gauge to verify pressures also replace engine oil and filter then i ran the engine again same happened then oil pressure dropped to 200kpa and as this happened engine developed an intermittent miss at speed then as I brought engine to idle had constant rough idle .Yandong engines haven't returned my emails as yet been 7days so im not holding my breath.
I think it may be the oil pump pick up or housing as it seems to be temp related but doesn't explain the engine brake down (like a miss in a petrol engine )
any thoughts as it looks like I wont get any support from manufacturer and will have to repair my new engine my self .
