I hope this turns out to be as good as it promises to be . . . .

Send a PM if you want to discuss it more. I have a nice plot of ocean front property in Arizona that you may be interested in. I also have a bottle of snake oil I'd sell you cheap. It will cure anything that ails you.
Energy in greater than energy out.
The implication of that comment is I'm a sucker, you're a crook, or both.
What I am is an eternal optimist.
I suppose I forgot the littleicon to suggest I mean nothing against you personally. I really meant no offense. I admit I could have been more tactful. I appologize.
Back to discussion of the idea: I accept that anything is possible, but for that system to work it would have to go against some of the basic fundamental laws of physics. Equally as possible is that there could be ocean front property in Arizona. A few good, strong California earthquakes, a little more global warming... Voila!! You're surfing into Yuma Beach.
Thank you, Iplayfarmer. Humour is good.
I know running a vehicle on water seems to contradict our current understanding of physics. But I wonder what Isaac Newton would have made of the solar cell where electricity is produced with no moving parts (at least not visible to the naked eye), without pollution and without active energy input. We're an ingenious species and I'm optimistic about our ability to tap into hitherto unknown sources of energy that might do the same for the personal vehicle. Ref. MikeinEburg's posting, I loved the scene in Back to the Future where the professor flew in, opened the car hood and dropped in some old banana skins and a couple tin cans. Who knows, perhaps one day . . . .
