I just got my new TC35 a week ago today and already have 5.5 hrs on it. Does the engine speed cause the engine hour meter to move faster at high RPM or is the meter measuring the time the engine is running regardless of RPM ?

Cleev, I'm not sure on the TC35, but think it's engine speed. I know on the Kubota B7100 I used to have it was simply a clock that was running anytime the key was on, but on the B2710 I now have, it depends on the rpm; only registers an hour in an hour if its running at PTO speed, and I think the TC35 is the same way. It shouldn't take you long to experiment a little and find out for sure.

no problem...The way I figure it who cares how.because if I was going to buy a used tractor I would consider the hr's to be at pto speed at the least, any way.Regardless of how the time was recorded...Enjoy the new tractor WE love ours....
