Can't find anything in the forum on this but my 1997 LK3054 will not shut down when I turn the key off, I have to pull out the compression knob to stop it and the manual says this is bad on the valves. Anyone ever have the same problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

My Kioti Ck25 was doing that last year, and finally it wouldn't start. I took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a lot of trash in the fuel. It was pretty expensive because it took many hours of labor to remove the fuel tank and clean it out. I filled it up before the problem at a gas station. I guess their tank was almost empty and it picked up trash.

Good luck,

Jack

Thanks for the reply but the tractor runs great, it just won't shut down when I turn the key to off position.

its probibly the stop solonoid. its a $20 part that takes 5 minutes to install. I know the DK series has these, so i bet the ck series also have them

Thanks for the reply, where would this be located or should I just follow the ignition wires?

Mine is a 2004

I have a pull knob to shut down fuel to turn off

Mine is a manual fuel shut off and I have no decompression pull knob

Did it shut off with key in the past?

I'm unfamiliar with your model but most Kiotis use an electric solenoid on or near the injection pump. This solenoid pulls or pushes the injection rack to the full off position to cut off fuel to the injectors.

Its been a while since I've been around a 3054.
But it may not have an electric solenoid that shuts down with the key.
I thought they had a manual shutdown, like Joel's LK 3054,

Had that problem on a jd755. The fuel shutoff solenoid would not release when the key was turned off. In my case it was not a faulty solenoid. There was a set of auxiliary contacts in the starter solenoid (probably unique to John Deere) that controlled the shutoff solenoid. verify whether your shutoff solenoid issue is electrical or mechanical. Look for a way to disconnect the hold-in coil on your shutoff solenoid after you turn the key off. If it drops out, the solenoid is OK. If it doesn't drop out, there is mechanical binding issues in the solenoid itself or in related linkages. Hope this helps.

To my knowledge, none of the 3054/3054xs machines have an electrical shutoff; all have a manual pull cable. Mine is an '04 and it has the manual cable
