Enormous Stump disposal? Most cost effective method?

I think if you cant burn it then a BIG truck with a chain will work. Try a tandem or triple axle dump truck.:2cents:

A fire like a forge fire inside the stump does not yield a large fire. It burns from the inside out and up. Throw a hog on it and cook it at the same time.

Still have not seen any pictures of the stump.

So how is it going with the stump? Did you dispose of it yet?

Here's how I moved my stump. Backhoe/loader dug it up but couldn't move it out of the pasture.

I'm pulling it with my TW-30 Ford. My 7610 Ford pulled it initially but I switched tractors to get better tire traction and not dig up my pasture.

The two sled runners are log flitches. It scuffed the grass less tha I thought it would.

I rocked the stump over one way and then the other way to get the flitches positioned underneath it, then tied a chain to each one and started pulling. It was easier than I expected. Took me about an hour to do it but it took a lot longer to get the inspiration for how to do it.

That's kind of like an improvised stone boat. I'll have to remember that technique, if I ever get a stump or rock too heavy to lift or haul to usual, brute-force, way.

well atleast you got it, that is a big stump (looks tiny compared to the old growth douglas firs we have here, but so does everything else)
