Yeah, that Poster guy was pretty prolific back then. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I guess LB really told him something three years after the fact.

My dad worked at Aerojet as a test pilot launching planes with JATO's attached. They also did reverse fires for short field landings. You have it right.

Like Jato Rat and others I need to do something to save my aching back when refueling my JD 4200. However, the boss (wife) is reluctant for me to store 55-gallons of diesel in the garage, although I tell her its less volatile than gasoline.

Since we live in a HOASS controlled community  , having visible outside fuel storage would get us in trouble with the house beautiful types.

For those who want to be exuberant and/or safety conscious, check out these products that should make any wife and/or fire marshal somewhat happy. Bring money though.

1*I don't blame her I won't store it in my garage either, no matter what you or others say. It may be less violate than gasoline but it still makes a great catalyst for a fire.
It worked real good like that on the 5 big brush piles I burnt last summer.
2*I don't care what the neighbors think I'm not risking turning my buildings into a roaring inferno just to appease the house beautiful crowd.

I might be able to come up with a solution to keep the HOASS off my neck and the diesel outside the garage where it belongs. I just need to get a few other projects out of the way first.

Surely someone has rigged something to put in the FEL, raise it, and use gravity to fill the tank?
