EPA to Raise Your Utility Bills?

Now that the "Cap and Trade" legislation has no chance of getting passed. I heard on the news tonight that the current administration has instructed EPA to crack down on power plant emissions across the nation. If this happens, our utility bills will go up substantially. Why can't we just be left alone for a while and give us a chance to crawl out of this recession. Gee Whiz, I wish the powers that be would go somewhere and be real quiet for a while. Ken Sweet

Yep, That and redistributing the wealth were campaign promises. Also farmers are in trouble, as the EPA is going to start monitoring farming practices according to the news I saw monday.

I already have a 10 % Environmental Surcharge on my Cooperative Electric bill. Yes, Farmers are in the "Cross hairs" as well. Bummer!! Ken Sweet

Bet we could talk for hours on that one Ken! You started another thread commenting on "hireling" problems - human nature sure seems to be something we don't pay enough attention to till we're too old to matter (new think)

Saw something in the news a few days ago that EPA folks are going to visit all dairy farms. Think that anyone from the EPA knows anything about running a dairy farm? Don't need no stinkin dairy farms, everybody knows that milk and dairy product come from a store. I don't run a dairy but I do have about 40 dairy replacement hefers on the farm, when they poop and it floods, yes, maybe it goes into the cheasapeak bay 200 miles away.

Disillusion dysfunctional people who lack all common sense are in charge at the EPA. If I was a younger man, I just might end up in prison from a confrontation with people like this before I left this earth. Being old, I hope to make it without that happening. For you younger guys, good luck.
