I was -9.00 in one and -9.25 in the other - at least I think. Maybe have been -8.75 & -9, but either way - BAD. I was very near sighted with very bad astigmatism. I'm just thrilled. Only thing I'll miss is come Christmas time I always liked looking at the tree w/o glasses/contacts because it was a big blur of lights - was actually very pretty. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Outstanding and good for you! Rare to find someone with vision actually worse than me. Your results are very encouraging.

Come Christmas just make a bigger batch of 'nog. You'll have all the pretty blur you want. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Do you have any problems with clouding or halo's around lights at night? I've heard this used to be a problem with lazik.

My eyes are near sighted in one and far sighted in the other. While they can correct both conditions, if they do I still will need reading glasses all the time. Right now I read with my left and see distance with my right, the only time I need reading glasses (I use a 100, the least magnification you can buy) now is to watch TV, in that no man's land where neither eye can quite focus. So for me, it's not supposed to be a good solution, at least for current technology. I hear there are great things coming soon, so I may just wait a bit more, but sooner or later I'll have to do something..............

I have no clouding or halo's of any type. I used to have some halo's with my contacts, it is so much nicer to drive now w/o those. I actually like to drive at night again. Though I never actually did drive w/o contacts, my vision was just way too bad.

Don't take this the wrong way, but man you have some pretty screwed up eyes. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif It almost sounds like you got from nature, what they are doing to some people on purpose and call it Monovision. They also do this with contacts in addition to the Lasik. Hopefully some of the new lens implants that are coming along will help you. Good luck!!!!
