Guess I should give them another chance after listing to you guys. What ticks me off though is they clearly stated they were in stock. I don't mind mistakes but they had 4 days to MAN UP and let me know they were back ordered.

My son and I are going to install a receiver hitch from eTrailer on his 2002 Infinity SUV next week. Hope the thing fits OK. No problem with delivery--it came on time.

I've bought from them a few times, and was happy with the service on those orders.

Sorry about this single mishap on your order this time. I hope they do something to smooth your feelings... maybe a nice surprise freeby, or something.

On the other side, I wish I had a dollar for everytime the (you fill in the name) autoparts houses sold me something that wouldn't fit, or was substandard. I once went through 3 defective water pumps on a van install - a 10 hour job for me. Yeah - I was hot!!! As I'm sure that you are now. Hang in there.

Well got them today at 3pm and it took about 2 hours to install. Anyway, 10 days to get something I paid for 2 day shipping and no apology, no credit, ect. Still not happy. I have emailed them and they sent me a survey asking if I would use them again. I filled it out and included both email and phone numbers and no response. We will see.

. I have found over the years that no company keeps inventory like the good old days.
that's part of the heart of the problem.

incomplete and lazy inventory practices. nobody reconciles computer inventory with qty on hand. having worked at a few jobs that use inventory techniques.. I can tell you once you get into a habit.. it only takes minutes to accurately track and verify inventory. but it has to be a plan everybody follows.... problem arises when..say.. you gat a bad part andf then just go pull another and not defect it out to hit inventory / reorder process.. etc..

We got the hitch installed on the QX4 yesterday. No problem. The hitch fit perfectly. There's an excellent installation video on the eTrailer website to assist the first-timer.

The mistake was not them having a warehouse shortage, but not advising you of it when it was discovered. i'd be upset, too, but 'stuff' does happen. I try to notify my customers in the event of an unexpected delay, but the reality is it doesn't always happen that way.
