Europe's plagues caused by gerbils, not rats

What ever carried those diseased fleas it's bound to have hidden in the under parts of pallets that the forklifts of yore loased on sailing ships. The moral of this is: If you're a Palets in fields scientist, be very cautious of rats, marmots, and gerbils. Better over cautious than to get the plague.

I don't know how painful the plague is. The bubonic form is supposed to be excruciating from the swelling of the lymph nodes. But I do know that gamma globulin shot the military gave to provide resistance to it was a monster.
