Yeah, it'll suck, for a lot of people. However...

Not one man out of the 56 signers of the Declaration ever recanted or apologized for their brave act in 1776.

9 signers paid the ultimate sacrifice - their lives - for the cause of Independence. 17 (almost 1 for every 3 who signed) lost every penny they had and every piece of property they owned. Yet not a single one reneged on their pledge to stand "for the support of this Declaration".

William Ellery, Rhode Island: His house and entire estate was burned to the ground. He survived the war and later became a vocal opponent of slavery.

William Floyd, New York: He and his family escaped the British invasion of Long Island to Connecticut, but left behind their home and his entire income. The home was a charred ruin when they returned, penniless, a full 7 years later. He went on to become a U.S. Senator and Congressman from New York.

Francis Lewis, New York: His home and estates on Long Island were destroyed by the British. Even worse, Mrs. Lewis was captured and imprisoned, dying from complications stemming from her incarceration.

Lewis Morris, New York: Far from being a "courteous abstainer" during the debate (as the musical 1776 tells us), Morris literally put his money where his mouth (and signatures) was; the entire Morris financial fortune was put at the service of the Continental Army. Loyalist neighbors confiscated his property, forcing him apart from his family for the duration of the war. His brother Gouverneur (of Constitution fame) also lost most of his wealth during the Revolution.

Phillip Livingston, New York: One of the wealthiest men in American in 1776, Livingston lost every shilling he had as a result of signing the Declaration. His family was driven from their house by the British and his estate plundered. Livingston died impoverished just two years later, while still serving in the Continental Congress.

John Hart, New Jersey: Hart's wife was dying as he signed the Declaration. He hurried home in time to say goodbye, only to be forced to flee as the British approached. His 13 children never saw their father again: they were all forced to flee for their lives as well. He died in 1779.

Richard Stockton, New Jersey: Judge Stockton was arrested by the British in 1776 and imprisoned in a military stockade. He was released 5 years later, his health crippled, and died a pauper in Princeton. Richard Stockton College in New Jersey is named in his honor.

There are more.

Yes. That was a revolutionary war. What you’re talking about is a civil war. You have to decide if you want to shoot a neighbor or friend because they vote different than you. After they are dead what do you do with the children?

I got a feeling my neighbors voting isn't the problem...

You’re correct it might be because one of the two of you run out of food and the other doesn’t. Or fuel Or maybe because they want something you have and a civil war distraction for doing other horrible deeds.

Like I said if you think this is a good idea and you haven’t read history of civil wars. People do horrible things to each other and the end result is rarely what is expected.

Ford reported losing $132,000 for every electric vehicle it produced.

If the segment is not profitable now, how is going to change once China's BYD low cost EV's start entering the US market and start pushing prices even lower?

I think possibly that would be development and infrastructure costs. I was discussing EV's with the service manager at the Ford dealership we use for our commercial fleet.

The dealership was forced to spend big money to add the infrastructure in for a charging station as well as the technology to work on an EV.

The issue they ran into as well was finding a tech who wanted to go to school out of town for a moth to get certified to work on them.

None of their existing techs wanted to go to the class, so they were looking to hire someone.

At the time we had the discussion, they had the job posted for 6 months without any takers.

No one said it was a good idea. But to avoid genocide, people will do lots of things to keep their loved ones safe. No one has a civil war "for fun" or "just because". It's when people's civil liberties come under attack, their freedom and future is at risk. And not just one group, but an entire political party.

The UK lost their guns, then they got flooded with immigrants who would commit violent crimes without punishment, and when the people started to speak up, they were labeled "violent right wing extremists" who were punished with excessive prison sentences.

Their future is at stake, the future of their wives, children, and grandchildren. Their personal freedom's, property, money, and country is on the line. If that's not cause enough, then what is? What are they to do? Just roll over and die?

Don’t love your party or leader so much that the idea of the “other” in charge makes you want to kill them. Or so confident in a party’s superiority that the other side winning has to mean they cheated.

We can also have a revolution.

Did it once before, we can do it again.
Too many people are fat, dumb, and happy or just lazy to participate. Unless it's looting and burning you won't get much participation.
