I can't imagine a loan on a $70k car that I can't keep on the road for even 12 months. I have a close friend with a Lucid Air that he drove for a month, and it's been in the shop 3 months!
After the EV startup collapsed, owners who paid as much as $70,000 now find themselves stuck with vehicles that are slowly falling apart.

Have had zero problems that needed going to the service center in 17 months other than getting the car inspected after the young driver rear ended the Y at a light while waiting to turn.
What a hassle over 2 months, I had to supply Everything to the other "at fault" drivers insurance video of impact, police report photos etc. only to have them finally schedule their inspection yesterday.
Waited for 1.5 hours and they never even called , a no show. Meanwhile I am out money for the Tesla inspection damaged parts replacement alignment costs. No doubt going to be a battle over diminished value with a reported accident at 9000 miles. The car has been great no complaints.
Just gave test rides recently and quotes like man this thing handles and SIL -I have never been in any street driven car that accelerates like this. I bought a new Bronco last year and now would really consider trading it for a Model Y. Was also very interested in the ability to camp in a Model Y which can definitely be done.
ps. Has Business Insider Ever written a non negative EV story?
Almost no sources used were really vetted in that article, anonymous comes to mind.
I still want to see what Rich Rebuilds can do with a non functioning Ocean and Hope what he and crew find can help other Ocean owners keep them running.
If I had paid 70 K for an Ocean and had to watch Henrik Fisker thanking me for my purchase every single time the car was driven well Likely smash the screen in.
