Ever found money in your tractor?

Today I was looking through the cab for a rag to clean off some hydraulic couplings before connecting them. I found $300 under the seat. I have no idea how it got there. I don't remember losing any money and I have owned the tractor 5 years and no one else has operated it during this time.

Was it in you JD 4440??? Might be an "old timer" mixed up in this riddle somewhere. My grandfather went through the "dirty thirties". He did not trust banks. When he passed, it was like a treasure hunt. He had money hid in the house, barns, tractors, combines, machinery, etc, etc. Can't say for sure, but sure sounds like there is an old timer in the mix of this money riddle.

Yes it was in the 4440. It was three neatly folded 2009 hundred dollar bills. Possible they were there when I got it but I don't think so. I keep the cab clean and have vacuumed it out a couple of times.

I had a similar relative. The story goes that he died hunting and the undertaker removed thousands of dollars from his person. His family had to retrieve more money from the bee hives.
