Rotary Cutter Ever seen a Bush hog like this? Offset.

Looks to me like the center part ( connecting pin )what would typically be the right bracket/pin has the ability to move over, note: look at the deck and see the angle iron, my guess is the center moves to this location when using it in the offset position

Bush Hog made offset rotary cutters years ago but not sure about now. I bought a Bush Hog 84" offset cutter about 15 yrs ago and it worked fine till I traded for an 8 footer. It was offset to the right side and the drive shaft was angled like the one above. Never had an issue --- just have to keep the joints greased.

edit/add: just checked Bush Hog website and they do offer several offset models.

Looks like it is old machine to say the least. It looks like that someone wanted it differnet in design!

I see a lot of work left to make it safe and functional.

I have the Hardee manual for this,you take the bolts out of the bracket and rotate the gear drive,you can see the studs sticking up out of the deck where you rotate the gearbox to and bolt it back down
