The only problem I had was the on hold time calling them for the return since you cannot return an item via your computer. Unfortunately for me, I never have found anywhere that states "you can expect hold times of 40 to 50 minutes". It was bad enough doing it once, but I had to do it a second time because UPS apprently never got the message to come get the return as I was told by the first return authorization associate, they would do. Oh well, the second call may have taken care of it. In the meantime, my card is charged and in 3 weeks or so, I may get the credit for the returned item. Live, learn and remember!

Have used both ordering systems for Home Depot (a kennel)and Lowes (chain link fence stretcher). For lowes, it was there, as the service desk when I went to pick it up. Home Depot, got an email saying they would call within 48hrs to confirm. No call, no nothing. When I called to make sure the order was taken, the reply was "we have them in stock, just come in and pick it up". Am in the process or remodeling my wife's mother's house (which we bought when she passed). Have had much better service from the Lowes (even though it's a longer drive), when I needed help, than the local Home Depot (overall, there were a few helpfull people). When the Lowes being built in my neck of the woods opens, they will likely see the majority of my service for the little things.

Personally, if I need any help loading anything,have been using a local supply company, NFL. Always had help when loading. Costs a little more, but the cost of pulling something is a whole lot more. Next large purchase will be sheetrock. Needless to say, will not be buying from Home Depot.

Rat, I hate to say it but, that's the way any customer service is these days.The bad thing is, that most people don't expect or demand any better so, nothing changes.I have had in store problems with h.d. When the make a customer mad & the cust. e- mails them with their complaint They tell you how sorry they are & send you a gift card to keep you comming back.In this day & time we have alot of things that make life better for us but we lost customer service in the process!
