Everlast power arc 200 long term reviews?

Do you have any trouble with the rod getting stuck constantly? Thats 90% of why i hate my Lincoln buzz box the other 10% is the arc going out while welding with 7014. Im also new to welding

I don't have much to compare it to since I never used a welder, but being extremely new as in only welded/practiced about 4 days now I can't think of having any problem keeping an Arc. I experimented pushing the arc deep in the Puddle and long arcing a good distance just learning what looked right & it pretty much kept right on welding.

You guys have made my mind up, now to save up for the power arc 200st. I recently bought an oxy acetylene cutting rig 150 cubic foot acetylene and 280 oxygen tanks and bought a new victor torch for it so the pocket book is hurting a little bit

I like my Powerarc 200ST, its light, portable and doesn't take up much space, even though I have plenty of space I don't like big objects in the shop. I sold my Lincoln 225 AC machine and I don't miss it one bit, I had considered a used IdealArc or Thunderbolt DC machine but again, the size and portability of the 200St won me over. Its not like I am in a production environment, I fix my broken farm equipment and fab whatever I may need to build.

The 200ST is all automatic. It works very well. My Vantage 400, and V350-Pro have adjustable arc force. Who ever invented arc force should get an award!:cool2:
Hot start means nothing to me, I don't use it at all! I've started a few rods in my time!

Shield Arc, I seem to remember you having a Power Arc 300 in addition to the 200. How did the two welder so compare? I assume there is a reason you don't have the 300 anymore.

The PowerArc 200 when running 6010. You had to hold a real close arc length. It did run 7018 great. I gave the PowerArc 200 to a good friend.
The PowerArc 300 I traded it to my brother-n-law for the PowerArc 200ST. The PowerArc 300 has adjustable hot start, and arc force. The PowerArc 300 ran both 6010, and 7018 great. The PowerArc 200ST has automatic hot start, and arc force. Again, the PowerArc 200ST runs 6010, and 7018 great!
