Everlast Powerarc 200 vs. Longevity Stickweld 200.

Getting a super deal and then asking for an even better deal is a big pet peeve of mine. Mark says he'll give you a TBN discount and then you're questioning if that's the best he can do. :ashamed: He could always give you a higher price for doubting him. I work in welding sales and always try to give a fair price the first time. A customers attitude can affect that price, especially if you give them a price, then they come in and try to get a better price. We've called the odd customer out, when they claimed they could get it a lot cheaper somewhere else. Sorry, we can't match that price, so you better hurry over there and buy it. Then the excuses for not buying it there come out and you know they're full of it.

Just trying to get the best price I can get so I can shop around. Longevity offered me a little better deal so i wanted to see what the best price was that Mark could give me. Sorry if it came out wrong.

There is a difference, but I hope you have good luck with it.

Do what you want, I could care less. But being as you're a member on Welding Web, have you read some of the posts about Longevity's customer service? Mark takes very good care of us here, and has no problem passing on his vast amount of welding knowledge. Don't know about anybody else here, but I value Mark's opinion!:cool2:

Customer service goes a long way. Even if they were the exact same welder with different names you will wear your welcome out in a hurry if you keep going back and forth trying to get them to keep lowering their price because the other guy did. That shows no integrity on the part of the seller. Now if the seller tells you a ridiculously high price to begin with and then all of a sudden does a drastic cut because you found one a lot cheaper, tells you something too. Buy from someone who's a straight shooter and doesn't play games is my advice. A few bucks more for better service is well worth it in my opinion.

Not saying I'm sold on the longevity. I am still not quite ready to buy. I appreciate mark's help a ton. I would love to buy the everlast, it sounds like a great welder! I just have to decide how much I am willing to spend. I too am amazed with the great customer service everlast offers. Mark responded to this thread in less than 10 minutes, and longevity has yet to respond!

I would have never believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. I have some of the best welders ever made. My Everlast PowerArc 200 with run 6010 every bit as nice as my Lincoln short hoods. It will run 7018 every bit as nice as my Lincoln Red Face machines. It welds every bit as nice as my Lincoln V350-Pro, but the V350-Pro has so much more control over the puddle, but it was north of $5,000.00!
For the money I dare anybody to show me the same quality of arc as the PowerArc 200! No don't tell me about it, show me!
A lot of the bad press Longevity, and Everlast get on Welding Web, when you push them enough, they'll admit they never ran any of them! Well I've run both! Some guys on Welding web want to hear from someone who has actually run them, not what they have heard, or read somewhere.

Longevity was MIA for quite a while but then came back and said they would be regular contributors on here. I don't see them respond to too many posts but they do seem more concerned with showing pictures of projects people have made.
