Re: Everlast Welders

Mark. Do you have any other pictures of the PP60 torch? The one you posted isn't very clear. Is the switch still removeable or did you change the design?

The design was changed.

We were able to match our PP80 design style with the PP60 torch head. If you'll look on the first page of the thread, spudland dave has the actual torch posted. Originally when he posted it, the source picture was the old style. Now it is reflecting a clearer image of the new style.

Re: Everlast Welders

here are some pictures of how I wired the plasma cutter, and the extension cord. I used the Nema 10-30 plug/outlet, because it is what I already use in my shop. I picked up 30' of 6-3 wire from lowes, for the extension cord, because it was only 2 cents more per foot than the 8-3 wire (I also get the military discount there.) The plug that came with the cutter is next to the new one on the power cord. Also a pic of the air filter/regulator on the back of the machine. I would have installed a new 50 amp breaker, and outlet but I am having a new addition put on my shop next year, and did not want to go through the trouble, since that part of the shop was getting demolished. As far as dry air goes, I will post some pics of my unique set up in a couple days. Gotta work nights, and weekends, so not to much time to play with my tools.

Is the trigger on the top of the torch or underneath like a mig welder? It looks like it's on top but being a side picture it's hard to tell. Can the red part of the torch be rotated at all? Someday I wouldn't mind making a CNC table, would I need to get a different torch?

Re: Everlast Welders

The torch head should be somewhat rotatable. The switch is on top, similar to ESAB.

Re: Everlast Welders

We can provide you with a HF machine torch, for a price of course. We keep a few in stock.

In reference to the hand held torch, CNC cutting , the hand held torch is used quite a bit. Each table has a setup to set and lock down the torch. I have the lock down, and I also purchased a machine torch for my Lincoln Pro-Cut 55, and I believe it was about $4oo.

This video shows a hand held torch used in a Plasma Cam setup.

Re: Everlast Welders

I've been reading up on them on the Priate4x4 forum. The biggest issue would be the room they need. I would like to try and make something that either tilted up out of the way when not in use or could be raised up out of the way. What I'm thinking is something like a 2 post car lift but lighter. Anyway that wouldn't be for a few years. Also I would probably want it to have it's own torch so if I needed to I could use the plasma cutter without having to pull the torch off the cnc.

Re: Everlast Welders

Finally got to use my new super-cut 50 p. I wish I had gotten a plasma cutter years ago. Works great, and was pretty self explanatory. Good enough for my needs, at a very good price.

You know the rules, it doesn't count unless you take a picture or two.
