Everybody out there ready for mowing season 2007? I have my 2518 ready to go. I tried something new this year. I serviced my machine myself. I usually have it serviced by the dealer over the winter but thought I could save some $$ by doing it myself this year.
I am all ready to go have most of the yard rolled but winter decided to comeback again. :( **** it!!!

I mowed last week before the cold weather returned. I think there are a lot of advantages to self service. You learn a lot more about your machine!

The weather will be improving daily!

Did my first service, pretty simple oil and filter change on the engine @ ~10hrs. Probably a full blown one at the end of summer. Heck I dont even have the deck on mine yet, its actually never been on the machine so I get to go through the whole deck leveling routine when I do put it on. My yard is still white...!!!

Fueled up the 682 two weeks ago, put a fresh charge on the battery, and started it up. It let out one nice 4th of July backfire from the exhaust before all the air was out of the fuel system LOL! Then it returned to it's smooth self, warmed it up a bit and changed the oil and filter and greased all the fittings.

Put it to work for two hours of dethatching afterwards, first time out for the year is always a lot of fun. Been snowing a little since then, but the lawn looks nice and green already.

Cut mine twice already. Got a new RFM, it does a good job. Hopefull frost this past weekend will slow the grass a little. 3 acres is a lot to mow.

The LT1050 has mowed twice already! It was warm here in Delaware until last week. Errrr . I need to get a new relay for my pto switch. Sometimes when I turn it on, it doesn't (hibernation I guess). The lawn looks super.

Not yet. Yard has some splotches. Looks kinda like Sanjaya Malakar, who we've seen WAY too much of.

We just moved to our new place back in early November.

I just cut my grass yesterday for the first time.

It took me at least 8 or 9 minutes with a push mower.

At the old house I was spending 8 hours on a riding mower along with weed-eating every week.

When we planned to move I decided "no more" and now I have a plot of grass in front of the house that's about 700 sq. ft.

I can bush hog everything else in about an hour's time.

I likes living in the woods!
