If the cost of analysis is a lot less than the cost of a change get an analysis.
Example:
My F350 requires about 15 quarts for an engine oil change. "Recommended" every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Using Rotella T6 I went over 18,000 miles with good UOA's.
"Recommended".....doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who set that spec. Grin
Problem is how many folks fell and still fall for it.
