Excavator controls

I've got a choice of controls on an excavator (JCB 130) that I'm renting this week. I'm used to the boom controls on the left (backhoe). I believe "CAT" controls are boom on the right. Can anybody tell me which I should specify. Thanks.

In case anybody cares in the future: JD = boom on the left CAT= boom on the right. CAT control seems to be the standard.

If you're used to a backhoe, I'd have them set it for that. No use making it more work than you need to.

Agreed with above. Some newer machines allow you to throw a lever and switch it, making it a pretty easy changeover anyway.
