Can't mess around with fire especially in tinder dry California...
Some delinquent set a tree on fire a couple of weeks ago on property my brother just bought...
Someone saw smoke and the sheriff caught the guy... so much for fencing and no trespassing signs.
Funny thing is the sheriff never said a word to us... we mentioned to a neighbor what we had found and then learned all about what happened.
Spent all of yesterday with a 60hp Chipper, Stihl Saw and the L3800 making chips... it was 92 in the shade and wore me out... a little late in the season it's only been a couple of weeks since escrow closed.
I can't imagine why someone would deliberately do this...
