I don't understand?

Twin City was the JD dealer; they were bought out by Harvest Equipment. Walt's Equipment was the Kubota dealer. They became Riverside Equipment and were recently bought out by Champlain Valley Equipment. CVE cut wages and benefits along with morale.

Specifics. My tractor is not used hard, only 1100 hours and 3 years old. Hydraulic, coolant and oil leaks at 20 hours, turbo replaced, heater resistor, fan switch, syncroniser for 3-4 gear, all gear shafts replaced, ring and pinion found to have a lot of wear while it was apart and replaced, pto intermittently stops working, clutch spring broke, etc.
Sure, other then that it's a great tractor, except the 3pt hitch won't lift much.
My neighbour is having major issues with his new 7r, just saw a new massey in his yard. Also know a guy with 3 6m's and two of them have been in the shop for major repairs at low hours (transmission problems in one, not sure about the other). Also know of a few people with 6d's with trans problems.

Sounds like an exaggeration to me but that is just my 2 cents. Many people in my area use 5 6 and 7 size machines for hay, field, tiling and such. Before I purchased I asked two ( classmates of mine) who have been using many machines for years and both said not many issues at all. All recommended to get the m or r series due to having a more stout frame and other options.
Maybe JD has reduced quality machines special made for Canada?
I spoke with a guy driving 5075e mowing road ditches for the Highway dept. He said the tractor was great and no issues for 2k hours.

I only have 240 hours on mine so far. So far the only issues was the antenna came unhooked from the radio. Dealer came out and changed the radio out to be sure it was fixed.

Hope you get yours straightened out soon.

I am 100% sure that a very low percentage of green or orange have issues.

Not familiar with either model, I'd say go with what you like best and the most USA made parts and assembly.

Ya, I must be dense. From what Ive seen on here, it's not like you to be mean-spirited. Wasn't the same place anyway. Im probably just off-base.

Moving on... To the OP: let us know what you decide.

I'm not mean-spirited: but I am sarcastic as ****.....In the end someone is getting a new tractor!

Yesterday I had to shut mine off as the hours were 66.5 and I didn't want to leave it in the garage with 66.6 hours on it.

I have the same affliction. Sometimes sacrasm and irony don't come through in text.
