I have thirty acres of tall brush material I need to selectively mow down.

Woods claims that their BB6000X, a 60" rotary cutter, can handle material up to 4" with a PTO hp of 40 or higher.

I've only shopped one place and I was quoted 25% of of list at $4581 with free shipping, which is amusing since the shop is local.

Anyway, what kind of pricing should I expect?

Thanks! :)

You seem to be pretty good at research from your previous posts. Why not call some local woods dealers located in your area and locate your best price?Just a thought?

From looking around the internet, I had anticipated the Woods BB6000X would be street priced somewhere around $2700ish. When I received the quote this morning for $4581, I thought I'd appeal to others to either confirm or deny pricing and make certain that I don't have it all wrong.

For the $2700 price it would be a no brainer for me to purchase off the net verses the $4581 price from the local dealer. What are shipping charges?

Yeah, that price seems WAY HIGH!!!!!!!!!! I bought at BBXX 72 for around $2500 2-3 years ago. Delivery was free from the dealer (about 50 miles way).

I would check around more.

I got a quote on a BB720X as well for $3691.

Yes but he is talking about the 1000 series which a much heavier cutter. You cannot buy a BB6000X for $2500 and the BB7200X is even higher. If you could I would take 10 please and resell them. Lol

I normally call the manufacture and ask them who is the highest volume dealer for my area. Many times but not always the largest dealer has best pricing due to volume. This gives you a baseline to start anyways.

Not a bad idea if Woods is willing to share that info with a retail customer. Over at Tractor House prices on lighter cutters are far, far less than what I was quoted. For example: A BB720X which i was quoted $3691 I see advertised by dealers from $2200-2500 depending on NOS or a 2014.

Seems like my expectations are off a little but I think the dealer that quoted me is trying to make a months rent from just one sale. :(

You might be surprised. Normally the manufactures like for you to use their favorite dealers. Don't discuss price just ask for best high volume dealers. As for cost you might be surprised again as the extreme duty line is very pricey. Still I would try 3 different dealers.
