Extended warranty on CK20HST?

When I bought mine a few weeks ago, I asked if there was anything else they wanted to tell me about, like other options or extended warranties. They said no, I'd gotten a complete package. Then saw some references to EWs on the Web, so when I went back to get some filters, I asked again. No such thing, they said.

Today I happened to be browsing the Kioti site, and there's a whole page on the subject. They say to ask your dealer.

What's happening here? Is it a loss item the dealer wants to avoid? Could they actually not know? I hardly want to buy a warranty from a dealer who doesn't want to honor it.

If I can get one, are they worth it? I.e., do Kiotis break in expensive ways?

Dealers should know about these. We have never sold any but do offer them. We have yet to run into a case where it would have paid off for the customer, but with anything man made things can break, no matter how great the product is, brand regardless. It is somthing we like to offer to customers, just like I was offered one when we purchased a new vehicle at my local car dealer.
