Extending Draft Links

I am looking for a set of extending draft links for my JD 790

My Father (59) Has an extremely hard time changing implements

I have tried two "quick attatchment" systems, and have not had any luck. They are good for one or two implements but need constant adjustment for multiple attatchments.

We Have both worked on dairy farms that have extending draft links on bigger tractors but nothing this size.

My Dealer says nothing is available for my tractor. I did some footwork and a set of Kubota links from a L3140 are the right length and pin diameters but the sway chains are inside instead of outside.

Has anyone been though this or found a solution?

Perhaps those from another series JD tractor would fit the 790. I know the bigger JD CUTs can be had w/ flex links.

Take a look at the links on the JD 3x20 series. The tractors are about the right size and the sway bars are on the outside.
I have them on my 3520 and they work very well.

I only saw them on bigger tractors at the dealer but I thought they must be available. Will Check the 3020 series

I Have it hanging on a wall in my barn. It Was allright but required adjustment for each attatchment.

My Kioti DK40se has telescoping links and I imagine they might fit a JD too. Not sure of the replacement price.

Are you sure you tried Pat's Easy Change. They are two pieces that go on the ends of your lift arms only. You shouldn't have to adjust anything. just back the hooks under the attachment pins and lift. If you are not completly aligned with the attachment, just use the bumber on the hitch to move your attachment and let the tractor do the work. The lift arms still move in and out to what ever width your attachment is. I was just wondering because you say you have "it" hanging on your wall makes it sound like the frame system, not Pat's.

Your use of the word " it " suggests that you might be confusing Pat's Easy Change (PEC) with the cumbersome one piece Quick Hitch (QH) sold by SpeeCo, Harbor Freight, and a few others. JDs iMatch is designed on a somewhat similar concept

The PEC system consists of a pair of pickups, one for each lower lift arm. I think the JD790 is Cat 1, so by design the PEC will extend your lift arms about 3.5 inches. After initial installation, no subsequent adjustments should be required.

I heartily endorse Pat's easy change. Works great on NH TC40 DA.
