Tractor
Bobcat CT2025
Hi Folks. I just put money down on a Bobcat 2025 with manual transmission. Only differences I am aware of from the Kioti are the Bobcat comes standard with the rubber floor mat and the horn. The dealer did not have any in stock and I will hear from him Monday or Tuesday about when it should arrive. He said we have time to modify the order.

I bought the tractor with the front end loader, AG tires, added 5 port hydraulic valve with spring and detent, 5 rotary cutter and 5 tiller.

I have been offered a post hole digger for indefinite loan by a friend.

I have no interest in adding snowblower, wood splitter (I rent, but if I bought would get a dedicated unit), underbelly mower or a back hoe.

The next attachments I would add are a forks for the loader, box blade and a grapple. The only other attachment I see as a possibility is a chipper.

First question is do I need the extra hydraulics? I got a good deal on them and not being charged for installation. Son in law says get it, you never know when it may come in handy. I am new a newbie knowledge wise.

Second question is what extras would you get new as opposed to secondary market. Asking here as expecting a lot more knowledge than over on the Bobcat forum. Realize there may be some extras Bobcat does not have. Rear view mirror? Tool Box? Filled tires? Anything else?

Last question the rotary mower had two extras the salesman was unsure and he was going to look into it. I think one was a rubber guard and the other was metal side guards. Sorry for lack of clarity, but he was talking and unsure so did not quite get it. Thinking extra safety is good with bush hogging.

Thank you all. I have read through the forum and realize some of this has been covered, but wished to ask the question fresh.

When I bought mine I wish I would’ve had the dealer install the third function. Recommend you get the rear tires filled with rim guard.

Get front and rear chains for your rotary cutter. The rear chains help keep from throwing stuff to the rear and killing someone, and the front chains help to keep you from throwing something into your tires.

Loader mounted third function would be a plus. The Kioti third function is overpriced. I suspect Bobcat would be the same. You may be able to find something aftermarket that's cheaper. Ask your dealer about options, and see if you can source it and roll it into your financing...unless you're paying cash.

Forks and box blade would be on my list too. I already have each, and the forks are super handy. You'd have to spend a few years without them to truely appreciate them, but do yourself a favor and get them now. They're relatively inexpensive compared to everything else you're getting. Box blade is handy for driveway maintenance, but if you have the $$$, you may spring for a land plane instead.

Skip the chipper. I've wanted one off and on for years, but had some wisdom imparted on me by a few fellows on this form. Also my powers of observation helped out in that regard as well. To put things through a decently affordable chipper, you have to spend a lot of time chopping off limbs to put them through the hopper. If you get one that's over $2K, you can get an auto feed that takes less prep and has a bigger hopper, but you'll also need a larger tractor to run it. It's MUCH cheaper and more convenient to simply burn limbs and branches. If you want mulch, get some delivered. Still cheaper than wear and tear on your machine, your time, and the cost of the chipper.

Definitely want hydraulic ports - but 5? I believe factory option is 2? I assume he's talking of installing a custom made valve? I would suggest 3 or 4 max, I'd also suggest getting the factory ones as the controls are in the most ideal position, have detent etc. If you get the factory 2 remotes and wanted more I'd only add 2 more for a total of 4.
I'll add my voice to the others on loaded rear tires. What a difference.
If you're even remotely considering a grapple get the third function now.
I'm assuming the loader has a quick attach bucket - if not get that.
Hydraulic top link. I'd never want a tractor without one now. I don't have a hydraulic side link but I can see that being great too. (Between those 2 there goes 2 rear remotes! Hence me saying get 4 - gives you 2 more controls for what ever you put on the back.)

Thanks guys. I was copying the invoice on the rear remotes. Looks like 2 total with current order at 1 spring 1 detent. Keeping that unless there is a good reason to go with 2 detent.

Hear you on chipper and it was way down list on future acquisitions.

I will ask for a quote on quick attach pallet forks.

Going to check with dealer on rim guard. Did not ask before.

Hear you on third function, but likely opting for filled tires to put extra money and thinking third will be more pricey. May ask for a quote. Edit: checked options list and not on list.

Think I will ask for quote on mirror. If I think it’s too expensive will fabricate one. Will add my own tool box.

Just ask for the extra unused parts that come with the kit. This way you can switch back and forth from an indent or spring return yourself at anytime if you choose. The kits come with all the parts to make them both detent or spring.

For a "cheap" third function, you can run some hoses from one of your hydraulic ports on the rear up to your loader. It works just fine, but not nearly as convenient as having a thumb/finger actuator on the loader control. Hoses and fittings may be in the sub $200 range?

Right, I was pretty sure that would work.

Waiting on dealer to call back with order information-They did not have any in their two stores with manual transmission so one has to be ordered.

Think I have things sorted, will keep original order and add the protections for the rotary mower. Was going to add them at time, but salesman wanted to check on them as unfamiliar. Going to ask for a quote on a mirror and likely get it if under a hundred. If over I will make it myself. Hoping they can do rimguard in the tires. Looking at other ck2610 with R1 tires looks like a bit over 900 pounds between the two. Would like to see that under $400.

Seems the second air filter is an option and I likely will just get that through amazon. Amazon.com: Donaldson P822769 Air Filter, Safety RadialSeal: Industrial & Scientific

I may pick up a wheel knob through amazon as well Amazon.com: Bl Silicon Black Platinum Power Handle Car Steering Wheel Suicide Spinner Accessory Knob for Car Vehicle: Automotive

Plan to fabricate my own toolbox.

Put off until later: quick attach forks (Titan?) and box blade (everything attachments?)

Titan forks are fine. That's what I have, and they're not going anywhere. You can get some weight savings by using a lighter fork frame from Artillian, but the cost is easily double (last time I checked). For the Box Blade, EA makes some good stuff. I'd go with them if I had the $$$, but you want your Box Blade as heavy as you can get it so it'll stay on the ground. I got mine used locally for $500---6 foot, 680lbs, made in the USA. If you're not looking for "pretty" implements, you could likely do the same.

I would make sure you get telescoping 3pt ends and sway braces.
