Well, there were other issues when they delivered it so I guess he wanted to make things right by me. Finally - a salesman who really cares about the customer after the sale! I'll let you know how things turn out when I get it back tomorrow. Kevin

I have a spray in liner under my plastic liner. Maybe that is why my bedliner rattle is not very bad. I think that is a good idea to use double sided foam tape under my bedliner. That would likely eliminate all of my bedliner noise! I'm off to the hardware store now to make a rigging to keep my seat from flopping over too far and getting ripped by the key in the ignition... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Heck, a Kubota dealership and salesman who gives you service after the sale??!! Can they open a store in Indiana?

I found that the tailgate on my RTV900 was making most of the noise. When it's in the closed position there's a little tolerance to how much it will move in this position. If I push on it to close it as much as possible there will be much less rattling.

RTVMan, I had the same rattle crop up. After a couple of nerve 'rattling' days, I discovered the bed side panels and tailgate were banging togather. If you'll notice the tailgate latch on the side panel, it has an angled piece to guide the tailgate into the latch. The side panels need to be 'tweeked' IN toward the center of the bed while the tailgate is down. That way when the tailgate is closed there will be pressure on it from the side panel. Solved my problem. It's still noisy at idle but not to the pain level anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I noticed extreme rattling on mine yesterday... upon closer inspection I noticed that the noise is coming from the top of the tailgate hitting the side. But when I looked at the other side (not rattling) there was a small black plastic factory sleeve at the end of the gate preventing the rattle... So I am off to my dealer to pickup another.

Do you guys have that piece on yours???

My rtv has about 30 hours, rattling worse every day. Raise the bed and check the front transmission shaft yoke, mine has about 1/8 inch of play. If I put my hand on the front drive shaft at the u-joint, with it idling in neutral, it quiets right down! It won't rattle in 4wd because there is load on the shaft. I think there needs to be support for the front shaft near the u-joint!

Cypressman,

My rattle ended up being caused by my bedliner vibrating at the side walls. What your describing is something that probably should be looked at more closely, especially if your rattle is getting worse over time. I will look at my yoke tonight to see how much play there is. I also think there may be others in this forum with RTV's that will be able to help you. Your definitely in good company here! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

rtvman,

Mine has a spray-in bedliner, no rattles there! It's definately the front yoke.
