Nice video, Thanks Lumber I always enjoy a good youtube landclearing video. I looked up davco and the specs are
Model Number: BC604SS
Attachment Weight: 1500 lbs.
Required Hydraulic Flow: 21-30 gpm
Required Hydraulic Pressure: 3000 psi
The specs for the ground shark are:
Model BC72GS
Order Number 30272
Recommended Hydraulic
Flow (GPM) 30-45
Height 28.13”
Length 85.59”
Width 77.38”
Deck Height 9”
Cutting Width 72”
Cutting Capacity 7”
Deck Thickness (Steel) 0.25”
Required Skid-Steer
Lift Capacity 2,200 lbs
Weight (Approximate) 2,008 lbs
The T-650 has 30.5gpm and 3500psi. Which would run better?

My SVL90-2 only puts out 10% more GPM than your T650.... I would say it runs the Bradco quite well.

Another advantage is I am "future proofed" a little in that I can run the Bradco on a TL12, 299D XHP, or PT110 and still have mower to spare. All of those put out 40+gpm and up to 4ksi. The Bradco can do up to 45gpm and 4ksi.

I bought the Bradco on purpose; I thought it was the best offering on the market.

Lumber very good point about the future. I hadn't thought of that. The other plus is the dealer is here and davco is not. The price for both is the same. Thank you again for your input. I'm leaning toward the Bradco. I will have a skid pro for sale here pretty soon.

I'm looking at the ground shark and have also been intrigued by the Blue diamond extreme duty open cutter... i know they are not the same, but any comments. i need a cutter to clear heavy brush and trees on over grown developments . also heavy brush in pastures and fence lines...

The Extreme Duty Ground Shark is a good bit more heavy duty than the Blue Diamond Extreme Duty... as is the price. ~$10500 vs ~$7500. The Bradco uses hydroax style blades, heavy, short, and straight. The BD uses traditional rotary mower blades, longer, thinner, and offset from the blade carrier. Also the Bradco has the option of carbide teeth under the blade carrier.

What will you be running it on? The BD Extreme is available in low flow for a ~grand less. The Bradco is significantly "more" of a mower.

Here're some pictures of some mowing I did yesterday. The focus of the pictures was more the getting stuck than the mown, but I got stuck 7 times in ~5 hours of mowing.

Lumberjack how does the Bradco compare to a mulcher, do you know?

I have a bobcat T770 High flow. But also have a T250 and a T590. So the Blue diamond would work on all 3, but I do not want to be able to clear lots for new construction and make time doing it. also have a couple of jobs clearing overgrown commercial property and overgrown pastures.

Sorry , I do want to be able to...clear lots... I have a major house builder for a client,,,

Mulchers leave a finer finished product, and carbide teeth last longer. Mulchers require a polycarbonate door on the carrier. Mulchers aren't looked at the same by customers when sitting on the trailer. A rotary mower is a "bush hog" in their eyes, but a mulcher is something more.

The Ground Shark costs 1/3-1/2 as much as a typical mulcher. It can process material faster (although rougher finished product). The knives can be resharpened (handy as I hit random concrete a few times yesterday). The knives start out roughly as sharp as a chipper's knives, if you're familiar with that. I'm thinking about adding more carbide teeth to the deck housing to act as counter cutters, but that idea is in its infancy. The above mentioned customers are a bit agape when they see the Ground Shark knock trees the size of their leg down and proceed to cut the stump flush and bust the whole tree into a rough mulch.

I haven't ran the Blue Diamond on low flow yet, but my theory is there's nothing like more power. That's why I picked the Ground Shark for myself, there wasn't anything tougher.

wow, I probably would not have put my machine in that swamp. the down time kills you and the wear on the machine..
