How deep do you need to go? I've made drainage swales with my rollover blade by tilting it severely to one side with the leveling box and dragging it along with the low end of the blade doing the cutting. It takes a few passes in each direction but it makes a nice gentle swale and it leaves very little loose dirt in the bottom. Looks like the tree spade will leave loose dirt in the bottom, and you won't be able to mow across the ditch.

Has anyone tried to use one of these for digging out stumps. Looks to me like you might be able to use it to break the roots around the stump and then pull it out with a chain. I have a lot of tree stumps in my 10 acre lake (which is now down 3ft) that I would like to dig up. Love to buy a bh but the CFO says no.

I have a Kubota L3130 HST with the LA723 loader.. Do you think it could handle the DirtWorks tree shovel? It's not a big tractor, but not a small one either.
Does the skid steer mount on the shovel mate with the Kubota Quick Attach?

My L4200 is only slightly larger …. But I think your loader is larger, mine is a LA680.
You should have no trouble with that shovel.. It is really a fun type attachment. You will have a little better control with your hydrostat than I with a GST. Using good counter weight you will be amazed at what your loader will do with a bucket shaped like this. KennyV.
