F 450 Super Duty gasser

What does "splicing truck" mean? I have never heard of it before this thread.

I'm not in that line of work so I couldn't say for sure. I can only assume that the truck is made to carry the equipment needed for splicing cable.
Maybe someone more familiar with telecommunications work can help out here.
I only know that I'll be able to transfer some things from my business trailer to this truck to make it easier to move around in it.

Yes that's correct, its a truck set up for splicing cable. Didn't use to be hard to do until fiber optic became popular now its kind of a specialized thing. Where my wife works they have trailers set up with a generator and AC and pull the cables inside the trailer and splice them inside of it.

More often then not, the AT&T trucks around here have a small enclosed trailer specifically for splicing/repairing fiber optic lines . . . . fiber optic calls for a "clean" environment, i.e. dust/dirt/mud/moisture free
