Does anyone know what F series began having a deck that will pivot up 90 degrees for clean-out? FXX60, 80 or not until new 90?
Sorry, but I researched thru a fair amount of previous threads without finding an answer.

That is more than I did know - Thank You! Been looking for a while and saw a video showing a new F2690 and how the deck pivots up. I think that is must have feature. My present ZD has the pivoting axle & jack, but you still have to get under it to clean the deck out.

I have the f2690 and it has the deck that lifts. I ordered mine with the 72 inch deck, and for me it is a bear to pick up to service. Mine has the mulching kit on it so grass does accumulate, so of course that makes it heavier. It could also be as you get older those types of chores get harder.

You had better believe it

Do the new ones swivel up without having to disconnect the drive shaft?
I don't disconnect my driveshaft , just position so the opening in the u
joint is in the bend as you rotate it up.

the first ones were the FZ2100 & FZ2400 zero turn F series mowers from back in 1992, I was lucky enough to be present when they brought the prototype to our dealership to show.
Was never offered again until the newer models of today

F3060 was sold from 1996 - 2005 and the deck lifts up hydraulically & swivels 90 degrees relatively easy for service. No need to disconnect the driveshaft.
It's a 72 inch rear discharge deck.

I have not had to deal with much built up grass underneath so far, but if that ever becomes a problem I will rig up a small chainfall to assist swiveling the deck.

Here is what it looks like.

It is true, with a 72 inch deck the front drive wheels of F3060 have to be 2 - 3 inches elevated, in order to lift the rear anti-scalp wheels off the ground so you can swivel the deck all the way & lock it in place.

:silly: Not a big deal once you figure it out.
