My mother has two old Farmall tractors, I believe one is a F20 and the other is a F30. Both were in running condition when my Dad died 8 years ago but haven't ran since-although I'm sure they will run. Mom would like to sell them, what would they be worth and how should I go about selling them? Thanks for your help!!

You might try searching on this site: http://ytmag.com/

The value of antique tractors can vary a lot. If you can find someone who deals in those or is in a club, they might be able to help you with price.

Best wishes,

F-20 and F-30 tractors tend to run a little cheaper than others because standard car trailers won't haul them. You will notice that they are pretty wide at the rear wheels (unless they are narrow tread models). The width hurts their collectability. Of course completeness, free engine, and features (like narrow tread) and tire condition all play a factor. I guess that you should start around $500+ for a complete non-restored, non-runner. Check out antique equipment sites like yesterdays tractors and www.atis.net.
Best idea: Keep them and restore them. I have lots of fun with my F-20.

When you say 'standard' car hauler.. are you talking about a u-haul style with open center?

My 'car' hauler 7'x16' trailer hauls my jd-b fine.. that shouldn't be any rougher than a f-20 etc.

7' might be able to haul one with the wheels turned in. 8' is really as narrow as you will want to go. F-20's & 30's don't have adjustable wheel width like most JDs do. Your B is probably narrower.

Whatever you have got to do to get it home. If that means turning the wheels in.. soulnds like a 'Go'.

What I had actually been refering to were some of those car trailers that only had narrow places for tires. and an open center.. which would be a 'no-go' for any trike.. etc.

I like my 7' wide car hauler.. gives you a tad bit of extra room. For my fords.

As for the JD B.. I'm guessing if you dished the rears out.. or spaced them out. or added duals.. it also wouldn't fit on my trailer.. etc.
