Good luck with the new mower. Regarding the punctured tire, I'm wondering if it is possible to have those tires foamed? If the drive system can take the added weigh, I would go that route--you will never have to add air again!

I don't want to hijack this thread but you have experience with just about all mowers. I have a F2680 and the small GF1800 front mower which I am thinking of trading on a ZD. Would you trade or will I be disappointed getting rid of my smaller front mount/

I don't know anything about GFs. See later you traded for small Z. Have one myself or for wife and she loves it especially after I added a spring under the seat. Have mulching kit from Kubota at $139 to cover discharge chute. She and I hate side discharge but the way the small Z came. You need to go over to the Kubota lawn and garden tbn forum where us F and Z owner congregate.

Anyone have any experience using mulching blades on a 72" RD deck?

I don't but the ear discharge recuts clippings more than side discharge so never found a need for themm

Well the dealer brought out a ZD1211 for me to try and he went home with the GF1800. The ZD has its draw backs but the advantages over the little GF sold me. If it had power steering I might have kept it but the ZD is so quick. I still have the F2680 so I'm not stuck for a front mount.

I saw you had the F in your other post to deal with the under cover. I have the same set up now with F and small Z at home. Great combo

I believe foaming them would beat you to death on rough ground.

I recommend "Ride-On" in your tires. Not nearly as messy as "Slime" and works as advertised. (i use it in my motorcycle tires)
