F3080 72" deck one blade loose AGAIN!!!!!

There are 2 blade thicknesses available from OEM and aftermarket (Oregon) suppliers for my JD F-935. The aftermarket supplier blades can be 1/4" or 3/16" thick. Sometimes the 3/16" blades are shipped with 1/16" washers that need to be added to the stack because the blade bolt will bottom out prematurely (not by a sloppy amount, the blade will be snug but not tight). For example, my Gator blades can slip a little without the washer and in heavy grass the cutting problem is obvious.

Check you blade thickness and bolt length. On the 935, special bolts are used having a thicker head so your box wrench or drive socket won't slip after long use. Even the dealer doesn't pick this up. They have to order parts for me. Otherwise standard bolt heads become worn and may be a problem removing.

Changed the fuel filter after 160+ hours and now it's running fine down hill as well as on flat land and uphill and cutting good with the new blades except where grass is wet and way high and way thick.

I am joining in quite late and will reinforce others comments having same loose blade issue on my F3680.
I also used an air wrench to tighten blades ‘successfully’ for a few years thinking the tighter the better.
The torque spec I now learn of will change my procedure going forward. The middle blade on my 60” deck was loose following use of mower in some light brush and a small piece of wood jammed the blade solid. I now find the cup washer is flat and no amount of tightening will work. So no doubt, the cup washers are serving as a means of protection, as another guy said, a clutch.
