I am getting a smaller weight that'll bolt onto the existing weight, just like you did. If I'm not happy with it, i can exchange it for the same you have. According to the dealer i wont "need" it, but since i was doing some good negotiating, i figured i might as well have them. They also said, to take the extra weight off for the summer since it's harder on the steering and suspension.
Do you know anyone that has rigged up a trailer hitch?

Yes I've seen several commercial guys install a 1-7/8" ball hitch on the back end. This machine is not really designed to pull anything substantial, check the frame section and you'll note that its not too big. I don't see an issue with a few hundred pounds but I wouldn't want to get into too much severe cross country bouncing & crashing...
There are 2 large 1" diameter holes in the counterweight that you could bolt a tow bracket to, should be easy work
