I'm wondering ...
What's the PITA factor for removing/installing a factory cab on a 3x20 series machine?

I will *need* a BH, but could live with only using it when the cab was off.

In the PNW, we have 6 months of rain, and 6 months without (well enuf of that 6 where a cab isn't a necessity). So, I could see myself putting the cab on in the fall, off in the spring, and saving the jobs for the BH till times I have the cab off.

Is this even reasonable?

I'd *really* like to have a cab during the winter, but also need a BH for lotsa jobs ...

The John Deere factory cab is not a drop on weather protection cab like the aftermarket cabs, but is fully integrated with the tractor. That means if you remove the cab, you also remove the steering system, seat, hydraulic controls, gear shift, fenders, fuel tank and most of the electrical system. Obviously not something you want to do.

I was afraid of that (seeing that the "configurator" at deere.com makes decisions based on cab/not ...)

Bummer ...

Don't get too discouraged, some of the aftermarked cabs, although more money, are compatable with backhoes, and
are still nice cabs.
Laurin I believe is compatable with the backhoes...

I really like the design they did for the 110LTB ...

I can't really afford a cab at the moment, but in the future I'd luv to have something like what laurin-inc has doen for the 110LTB ...
