Factory JD TnT Cylinder Dimensions

Been looking at adding a Hydraulic Toplink to my machine...In looking at the JD Specs from the parts site:
3.150" Bore
1.5" Rod
6" Stroke
Closed Length: 19.25"
Extended Length: 25.25"

Does anybody out there have pics of the Factory Toplink Cylinder? Do these specs match up to reality? Just want to make sure I'm on the right track before getting stuff ordered and lined up.

I've got a TnT setup on my JD110. Since I was ordering a new machine, I decided it made more sense to go ahead and have the OEM setup instead of going thru the steps to "build it" myself. By the time I went thru the purchase and shipping (to Alaska) and having hoses made and buying fittings, etc.... well, it was probably a break even deal with the JD factory cost.

I like the JD system --- but the cylinders are bigger in diameter than the CCM ones and they don't have an internal checkvalve. So, they will "droop" and loose position especially whenever you turn the machine off. And they take up quite a bit of real estate at the rear of your tractor that makes hooking up implements a bit more awkward.

Long and short; I'd price out all the components for the "roll yur own" setup before I'd jump into the JD system - IMHO.

That said; I'd be happy to try and snap some pics of my setup if you're still interested. Let me know.

I'm looking at $150.00 Total for a "Build Myself" version using a 3X6x2 cylinder. I could spec out a smaller 2" version...From the sound of it the factor 3" is kinda cumbersome?
Are the internal check valves THAT important? I was figuring for a couple hundred bucks I can bump the SCV Lever every once in a while....

that woud be a huge savings off of the Deere version. Yes Please post pics when you get tit all together. Sequential assembly pics would be even better!. Parts list, release notes, recommendations, warnings, etc.

I have the factory TnT on a 4520. Using a 6' back blade, the MX6 cutter or a (heavy!) Couture chipper I've never noticed any leakdown. Like you, I was expecting to have to nudge the SCV every so often, but it just hasn't been an issue.

I sometimes leave the ballast box up on the 3PH for days, and it doesn't sag in either direction that I can see.

The tractor's currently at the other end of the property, so I can't easily measure/photograph the cylinders. Sorry.

I am also following this thread with interest. I would like a hydraulic sidelink for my 3520. I confirmed with the dealer today that the JD TNT is not compatible with the backhoe mounting frame, so I am looking to build my own. I will just use the 3rd SCV for the sidelink as the quickest solution. I don't think I need the top link yet.

I was a bit too stingy to do it on the initial purchase, now i will end up doing it late one way or the other.
