I'd run unless he can show you his "factory". There are no Japanese manufacturers that rebuild that I know of.

Buck (EFC) has posted that Yanmar never sells one single part to the VN 'factory rebuild' establishments.

So what are the rebuilts built out of?

I believe it to be pure fiction that the overseas "factory" does all that they say, I think its just get them running and working and put on a slick paint job and out the door.
I work on heavy equipment for a living and all parts are expensive if they had done all they say a 25 year old Yanmar would have to cost upwards of 10 grand provided they bought Yanmar brand parts.
If that were the case they would be glad to provide a list of parts used on your prospective tractor, but they dont.

I see the previous owner of the Asheville dealer is listing tractors again in his name for the same location. Maybe no one liked the new owners testiness.
