Price Check Fair price for JD 950

Looking at a JD 950 diesel 4wd with 800 hours. Anybody have an idea of a fair price for this machine?

Keep in mind that tractor prices vary from region to region.
What year is it, do you know? JD manufactured the 850 & 950 for over a decade.
That said, I would guess it to be worth between 5 & 7 thousand w/o attachments.

The owner is unsure of the tractors age, she thinks maybe '86 or '87.

jsec - I bought a 1984 JD 950, MFWD (4x4), PS, JD75 FEL, 2000 hours, good condition 4 1/2 years ago for $8500. If you want to know the model year. get the serial number (located just above the PTO shaft) and look on <font color="blue"> www.tractortips.com </font> . It will tell you the year of manufacture. 800 hours is pretty low for a 950.
