Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but between the snowstorms and the haggling, I wasn't able to finalize the deal for this
L3750 until this morning... Since I last posted, I found out that the tractor did not have any rear remotes/hydraulics/whatever they're called in your neck of the woods (I've seen various terms used, I think), so the dealer is installing dual remotes on it this week, and they're supposed to deliver the tractor me this Friday. I didn't realize that these didn't come standard on a tractor--just took it for granted that they were stock stuff, like a steering wheel or a gas pedal. So there's something else I've learned in the course of this tractor quest! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Between the advice I was able to get from you folks here, and an appraisal from a web site called "Iron Search", I was able to bargain the price down to $13,500 from the $15,500 they initially quoted me--the tractor is every bit as clean as they'd claimed it to be, and probably one of the few tractors I've seen that doesn't appear to have hit anything during it's time at it's original owner's farm (and I'm on several different farms every day, so I see a LOT of tractors /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif). The manuals for both the tractor and the loader come with it, and the previous owner was scrupulous about regular servicing as well as recording when the machine was serviced...so I really think I made out well.
Now I have to learn how to use it...fortunately, my ground is basically cleared, so at least there's no trees for me to bang into! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'll try to get a picture of it posted, once it arrives here...I can't wait!! I only drove it around the lot at the dealers, but I have to say that it handled effortlessly, and I felt very comfortable with it despite being a tractor newbie.
Thanks for asking, Dick, and thanks to all for the help in making this selection. Only 4 months 'til haying starts.... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
