I have an offset 5’ disc harrow and I’m trying to save for a pto tiller and would like to sell it. What would you think is a fair price for the attached images. It’s greased and ready to go. One disc on the outside is cracked.

Your disc harrow will command a little more than normal asking price as the first gang is notched and the second gang is smooth. This combination provides great tilling over the others being the same disc throughout.

As the implement has a majority of it's original paint, $600 to $800 would be good asking price. Then you can work up to $50 off that on those low-ballers. lol

All the newer disc harrows are V-ganged. Prices for 5-1/2 for those begin around $1,100+tax+shipping or pickup. So looking at something close as new in the same capability,
3-Point Disc Harrow, disc plow| Agri Supply 65068

I bought mine pre-covid for $1,800. It's now at $2,600 2 years later. nuts eh?

A PTO tiller is a really nice tool. It takes more care than a low maintenance disc harrow. I don't bottom plow, instead top layer field compost. Thus, the disc harrow churning and discing the compost in to a depth of 6 inches gives the best results.

I paid $1,000 for a 6' V disk in very good condition last summer. I was going to say between $600 and $700 also but I don't know how rare an offset disk is and how good they work. Maybe they are better than a V disk and command more money. I would at least put it out there at $700 or $800. When I was looking a 5' disk was what I wanted but they are very rare, or were when I was looking. Everything seemed like 4' or 6'. I didn't really want a 6' because it's a little big for my tractor.

My Yanmar is the early YM with the Hp rating yours has, even the same engine family. I too got stuck with a 6FT V-disc harrow.

His advantage of disc harrow is 5FT, notched front gang and smooth disc rear gang. The notches up front are more ground busting and grinding while the rear smooth discs do all the cleanup making things tidy and clean.

Also consider this, the non V-disc harrows have one additional advantage. The disc can remain in the ground whilst making a U-turn in that gang angle without lifting and lowering the 3PT at the end of the tilled rows.

Yes, I too would agree your price guess-i-ment like mine are closer to reality for him. The only hanging factor is, his location and market channels to sell, FB, Craigslist, etc.
